The company was established in Denmark in 1985. Its founders, Gitte Dyrberg and Henning Kern, graduates of the Copenhagen School of Design, began by designing women?s clothing. The DYRBERG/KERN brand was officially introduced in 1987 at the Copenhagen Fashion Fair. In 1990 the duo began designing jewelry collections which brought them international fame and success. Their style is based on Scandinavian traditions, but is not "Nordic only". It is a mix of their own ideas and global trends, which appeals to women of all ages worldwide. Their classic timeless designs remain relevant and trendy for more than just one season. The DYRBERG/KERN brand is famous for its love of colorful precious stones (all manually cut) and exceptional precision. Particular attention is paid to the quality of materials used. The designers create two collections each year.
