Adidas is currently the biggest footwear, sportswear and sports gear producer worldwide. During the Athens Olympics it was represented in 28 sports disciplines. Athletes from all over the world in Adidas clothing won over 50 gold medals. Adidas's history begins in 1920s. It was founded by a German, Adolf Dassler, who used his nickname - Adi - to create the famous brand. Since then Adidas has been the biggest producer of the most prestigious products in many sports disciplines.
